Hostel & Accommodation
A hostel someoneactually walkedthrough first.
The question every Kerala parent asks second, and most consultancies answer with a photocopied list.
What we check before recommending anywhere
A hostel list is easy to produce. A hostel someone has stood inside is not.
- Safety. Gate security, who is on duty at night, how visitors are logged, whether the street outside is lit and walkable after an evening class.
- Food. Whether a Kerala student can eat there happily for four years. We ask about rice, fish and the Sunday menu, because these things decide whether a homesick first-year stays.
- Distance. Measured as the actual walk or bus ride at 8am, not the number on a map.
- The real monthly cost. Rent, mess, laundry, electricity and the deposits nobody mentions until move-in day.
- Who else lives there. Whether there are other Malayali students, which matters more in the first term than anyone admits.
College hostel or private PG?
There is no universal answer, and we say so.
College hostels are usually safer, stricter, closer and simpler for a first-year living away from home for the first time. Food is the common complaint and curfews are real.
Private PG accommodation offers more freedom, often better food and sometimes a lower cost once you are sharing. It suits senior students, and it suits students who already know the city. For a nervous first-year arriving in Bangalore in July, we usually advise the college hostel for year one.
What we do for you
- Shortlist two or three options near your confirmed college
- Share real photographs and the full monthly cost, not the advertised rent
- Include the hostel in your free campus visit so you see it before you book
- Help with the booking, deposit and paperwork
- Stay reachable if something goes wrong after move-in, and sometimes it does

No. It is part of the admission support, included for every student who joins a college through us.
Yes, and you should. We build it into the campus visit as standard.
Call us. We have moved students mid-year before and will do it again. That is the difference between a list and a relationship.
Where we can, yes. Ring +91 8594 067 598 and ask. We would rather a student from Malappuram ended up somewhere safe than somewhere convenient for us.
