Career Counselling
Career counsellingthat starts withthe student.
Most counselling in Kerala starts with a list of colleges. Ours starts with an hour of questions, and quite often ends with a course the family had never considered.
What the session actually covers
We sit down for 45 to 90 minutes, usually with parents in the room. There is no presentation and no brochure on the table.
- Academic reading. Your plus two stream, board marks, and any entrance scores, mapped honestly against what those numbers can realistically secure this intake.
- Aptitude and temperament. Whether you work better with people, systems, hands or ideas. A student who dislikes confrontation will struggle in sales however good the MBA college is.
- Interest, separated from pressure. We ask the student alone at some point. The answer is often different.
- Family budget. The real four-year figure including hostel, mess and travel, not the first-year tuition quoted in an advertisement.
- Career mapping. What the field looks like in India and in the Gulf five years out, and what the next qualification after this one would be.
Who comes to us for counselling
Plus two students in results season make up most of our enquiries, but they are not the only ones.
- Plus two students choosing between medical, engineering, commerce and the many options nobody mentioned at school.
- Repeat NEET candidates deciding whether a second drop year is worth it, or whether allied health sciences gets them into a hospital faster.
- Graduates weighing an MBA, an M.Sc, ACCA or a job.
- SSLC students picking a plus two stream: the decision that quietly closes doors three years later.
- Parents working abroad, over video call, with the student sitting in our office.
What you leave with
Not a verbal promise. A written shortlist of three to six realistic courses, each with the colleges that run it, the entrance requirement, the honest fee range and the career path it opens. You take it home and discuss it without anyone sitting across the table waiting for a decision.
If you want to see any of those colleges, the campus visit is free. If you want to compare the courses yourself first, the course explorer lists everything we place students into.
